There was a time I found myself sitting on the floor of my closet, crying and calling friends and family, desperately trying to explain why being a stepmom felt so hard. They loved me and wanted to help—but they didn’t truly understand this role. I realized I needed women who did.
That’s why I created Call Me Stepmom—a space for the conversations I wish I had when I needed them most. I’m Dr. Rebecca Call Taylor, a wife, mom, stepmom, educator, and researcher who believes we can be honest about the hard parts of stepmotherhood without losing sight of the beautiful ones.
